but what use are they if the battery cant hold a charge. Even though I do small jobs now and then, I want stuff that lasts. Being a non-pro, I used to get the Craftsman 18V tools, but the battery always died after a year or so. The Dewalts outperform in power and battery life. These do the job. And they are expensive to replace. the tools lasted ok.
I have gotten two shelves out of the deal, so it has worked out great for me. At the time he only had one battery that was in working condition, so being the awesome girlfriend, I bought him a new one for valentines day. Would highly reccomend. So far, this has been a great product. My boyfriend has a dewalt kit with multiple tools that all take this type of battery.
Having only done that, there's really not much to be said. Arrived in a timely manner. Threw it in the charger, plugged it in to my drill, it worked.
I was able to get them at a much better price on amazon.com as well. Nonetheless, these XRP batteries have tons more power than the stock ones and seem to last much longer. My DeWalt drill was dead for a long time and I was limping the batteries along with no results. It is too bad that DeWalt charges so much for new ones.
Amazon had the best price I could find on the net. I'm very happy with my purchase. This DeWALT battery like all the ones I've had in the past works great. The longer life of the XRP packs are worth the extra cost.
